Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency created on December 6th, 2013 based on the popular "Doge" Internet meme and features a Shiba Inu on its logo. The codebase of the project was a fork of Litecoin, so it inherited many of the same features such as the hashing algorithm, with the only difference being branding and large inflationary supply. One of Dogecoin's strengths is its relaxed and fun-loving community. But like most meme coins, this is also a weakness because other currencies are seen as more professional.
